Yoga Teacher Training

My yoga experience started in 2012 with a regular (5 days/week) vinyasa practice at Samadhi Yoga Studio in my hometown of Glenview, Illinois. Two years later, I attended True Refuge (a retreat focused on self-compassion) with Tara Brach at Kripalu. A year later, I developed a passion for a regular yin practice while studying abroad living with my host family in Wellington, New Zealand. When I returned back to the states, for the rest of my undergraduate experience, the teachers and practitioners at Pranava Yoga Center in Colorado Springs, CO supported the cultivation of my regular hatha yoga and meditation practice. I completed the 200-Hour teacher training at Pranava. The studio is no longer operating since the pandemic. However, one of my main teachers from that experience has a thriving studio called Yoga Bliss in Colorado Springs. The summer after the teacher training program, I went back to Kripalu and attended workshops with Seane Corn, Annie Carpenter, and Rod Stryker. I then moved to Santa Barbara and participated in Santa Barbara Yoga Center’s 300-Hour teacher training program modules with Kat Connors-Longo and Heather Tiddens. I also completed the Transcendental Meditation (TM) certification with Mark Hershey while living in that town. Additionally, I taught yoga at 24-Hour Fitness and University of California-Santa Barbara. I just moved to Asheville in January and am currently completing my Master’s in Natural Resource Management.
