Original Question:
How can traditional ecological knowledge support restoration ecology in the Klamath River?
Comment by Professor Jeral Kirwan:
You have a good question but it reads more like a rhetorical question than one for research. Your question should be something that can could have data collected on today for analysis. You also need to have specific variables, so something like “restoration ecology” is a bit vague. Think about a specific aspect of your variables to narrow the scope and consider wording such as “To what extent does (Variable A) affect (Variable B)?” So, how might your narrow the scope and reword your question?
My Comment:
Thanks for the feedback. Now, I understand the question needs to be specific with something that can have data collected on today for analysis.
How about: To what extent does traditional ecological knowledge support salmon populations in the Klamath river?
Comment by Professor Jeral Kirwan:
That is a great revision, Mary, and would work well.
